What we store, and what we don't

Ask Church stores the questions and answers from conversations so your assistant can learn and so you can see what your people are asking — but it never stores names, IP addresses, or any personal identity. There are no visitor accounts. If someone chooses to leave their email to be contacted, that goes only to your church through the contact form, never into the conversation log.

Sensitive or pastoral messages are shown to you only as anonymous themes with counts — never word-for-word. Raw conversation logs expire automatically.

You control what visitors see before they share their email, and where those contacts are routed — set both from the Contacts tab in your dashboard.

Frequently asked

Do you store who is chatting?
No. Conversations are stored as questions and answers with an anonymous, random session id — never a name, IP address, or any personal identity. There are no visitor accounts.
What happens to someone's email if they share it?
It goes only to your church, through the contact form, so you can follow up. It is never added to the anonymous conversation log, and you set the privacy note people see before they share it.
